The event, by invitation only, held at Alexander's pub as a thank you to Richard from Les Fitton's father Kevan, was another success for Pafos darts. We had Cyprus Mail coverage. The evening went great with Les playing six singles games of 701 best of 5 and six doubles games 601 best of 3 Ian Inglis was unable to make it so Charles Turrell played in his place and Trevor Lloyd played in the place of Steve Claxton who is still working at Flanagans.
The singles were
Trevor Lloyd (Alexanders) Ian Oakes (Alexanders) Charles Turrell ( Aces took a leg off Les including a 180) Lorraine McCormick (Seahorse)( les complimented on her play ) Carl Wood (Aces) Tony Croxford (Seahorse) Les played the doubles with Ian against Charles and Trevor
Paphos TV turned up minus cameraman as they had floods in the hills and said they would contact today to get Steve and Vic Hemming into the studio to do an interview to promote darts and then go to Alexander's to film dart games and the outside of Alexander's to give Richard the landlord the maximum publicity.
Les is also interested in returning next year if we can organise something like the John Lowe event for him.
